On a breezy Wednesday evening, Capitol Business Connection (CBC) hosted their inaugural Hot Auto Nights, an event dedicated to benefiting Alzheimer’s awareness. Partnering with WellQuest, the event’s venue, CBC aimed to bring attention to the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s disease while offering a night of community, classic cars, and fun.

Paul De La Torre, Founder and CEO of CBC, along with its members, worked tirelessly to coordinate with local classic car clubs and business vendors to make this event a reality. Reflecting on the evening, Paul shared, “It was an amazing experience. We had 18 confirmed classic cars for this event. But they love to help local charities. 48 classic cars from ’60s lowriders to ’80s hot rods showed up and showed out!” Though the turnout exceeded expectations, it required some quick thinking to arrange all these stunning vehicles, making the event even more exciting. “CBC Referral Network along with WellQuest personnel stepped up big time!”-Paul De La Torre

Vendors from the community eagerly participated, showcasing their products and services. Many expressed their delight, declaring the event a resounding success. The atmosphere was vibrant, with attendees enjoying delicious bites from popular food trucks such as PINTO Filipino Food and Yolanda’s Tamales. WellQuest also contributed to the festivities by serving up BBQ Chicken Skewers.

The event wasn’t just for adults; kids had a blast too! Sanchez Jumperz provided a fun jump house experience that kept the little ones entertained throughout the evening.

Adding to the excitement, vendors assembled small gift bags for raffle prizes, and CBC was thrilled to announce that WellQuest received additional donations from raffle ticket sales. Thanks to the support of all attendees, Cap Biz raised $440 for the Alzheimers Association. Hot Auto Nights attendees got the chance to vote for their favorite car by placing their tickets into cups in front of each classic vehicle. By a narrow margin of just one ticket, Marco’s 1959 Chevy Station Wagon was crowned Best in Show!

The joy and enthusiasm that filled the night set a high bar for next year’s event, but CBC is already looking forward to the challenge. They’re committed to making the next Hot Auto Nights even better and continuing their mission of supporting important causes in the community.
