With so much bad news in the world today, we all need feel good moments to offset those troubling times. That is why when Capitol Business Connection was introduced to Carol Jones, Executive Director of Mending of Mothers Incorporated, we jumped at the chance to help. Mending of Mothers is a non profit organization that seeks to foster positive transformation by creating productive environments for women, youth, and families in the Sacramento region.

This past holiday season, we decided to collect donations from Capitol Business Connection members in order to create holiday gift bags for those families in need. Several of us, from both organizations, headed out to a popular retail outlet, gathering up essential items to create the bags that would bring some joy to the most emotionally dynamic time of the year.

Carol Jones can attest to the joy brought to those who received our small, but significant gifts. We plan on continuing our work with Carol Jones of Mending of Mothers among other community based groups throughout the region. We invite all who are interested to join Capitol Business Connection at either one of our Business meetings, or business mixers to hear what’s next for us.
