Wow…We Did It!
The Giving Back with Love Dinner and Comedy Gala was a resounding success! Capitol Business Connection (CBC) brought together people from across the region for a night of delectable cuisine, fantastic music, and unforgettable comedy—all while supporting incredible local charities.
This event, our very first gala, was spearheaded by just three of our dedicated board members, with valuable insights and contributions from Cherise Gallegos, Brian Batista, Jason Crowson, Vice Mayor Rod Brewer, Bret Bartholomew, and Glenda De La Torre. A special thank-you goes out to Keith Ward, his wife, and Alex Herrera for their tireless volunteering efforts, and to Little Touches Decorations for the stunning decor that transformed the venue into something magical.
Highlights of the Evening
From start to finish, the night was filled with memorable moments:
- Music: The evening began with Jason Crowson spinning an upbeat mix to set the mood. Later, guitarist Ashwut Rodriguez serenaded attendees with melodic dinner tunes.
- Food: Chef Ramiro Alarcon outdid himself with a menu of unique and flavorful dishes that delighted every palate.
- Comedy: Laughter echoed through the hall thanks to local comedians Paul Doyle and Brittany Birrer, as well as world-renowned headliner Dennis Gaxiola.
- Engagement: Guests mingled, enjoyed drinks served by our expert bartender Karen, and participated in the silent auction and raffle prize drawings.
The evening wrapped up with the announcement of silent auction winners and the presentation of raffle prizes, capping off an event filled with joy, connection, and generosity.
